Short version TWINS rock, but you will need to port. I suggest HTG or SLP pipes only.
Single pipe is questionable on real gains, and a common suggestion is a head rk tek(not required on 700 with twins..just the 800)
It is 150 dollar difference, and TWINS ROCK...

All 700 twins dont need porting, go here for twin pipes www.dynoport.com true flatlander pipes.

Both SLP and HTG said you need to port. It is not a sales pitch, because they really suggested the single, but said to get real gains you really need to port with twins.

the slp twin is the same as the 800, same goes for the hotseat twins... i'd go with the dynoports or maybe find someone that will make some custom pipes for ya...
noticed you live in IL (so do I), if you ever ride in WI any of the twins will become an issue, they write tickets for that up there...

Some pipes works better with porting. I'd give Dynoport a call and see what they say, Rich is a straight shooter. And he makes great pipes!

HTG did say the 03's worked ok without porting, but the 04's didnt run worth a %$*&. This is the reason hsp, htg, slp dont even list twins for an 04 700.

I have a set of PSI twins that came off my 800 pro 2 . Im pretty sure they use the same ones on the 700 you would half to check. They have worked real good for me . I have had no problem handing the slp guys there a$$ . I want 250.00 for them . I would keep them but I dont think they will fit my fusion .

Looking at the things you have listed on your sled. Would work excellent with the modblaster twins . www.psiperformance.com
Thats some of the thing mine had . You surely need the tach calibrated 8100 to 8200. :augen41:

My buddy will be running 800SLP Edge twins on his 700 this winter. I spoke with plenty of people regarding this. SLP said that they dont advertise the pipes for a 700 because most people would be happier with a single due to tuning and lowend power. They guy I spoke with said if you're looking for max power, twins are the ones to have. SLP also makes a Performance Edition single that is slightly different than the regular single for use with their porting. Sure the 800 twins are a little big for a 700 volume wise, but I'm sure they will perform well. There are plenty of guys using them out west.

talked with psi and slp today, two diffrent answers.psi said they dont advertise twins for the 700 because there werent that many 700s sold,if polaris sold more of them they would make twins just for the 700,but there 800 pipe will work on it just not as much horse power he said about 15hp.slp said basically what polarisnut has been saying, they will work but would better with porting,he didnt give me any numbers but said the 700 single pipe and 800 twins on a 700 are about deadeven,he said if i wanted twins to try 500 jets that seems high to me but i got variflow.oh one more thing extreme snowmobiles website says porting the 700 is useless, they found know more pwer in it,i am going to put twins on mine and see what happens.

I'd call Rich at Dynoport and see what he says. He makes great pipes! Also, there is always some power to be had with porting if it's done right. Some motors respond better than others but there's always something there.
