I was told by some one that the CDI boxes or timing in set diferently on the 04 PRO XR 800 than on an 04 PRO X 800. If this is true why and how does that benefit us XR owners.

According to any imformation, that i've seen, the flywheel I.D. and the CDI marking are identical. The ign. timing for the Pro-X is 29deg. @ 2500rpm's w/TPS unplugged, while the X/R, is 29 deg. @ 3500rpm's, but the 2500 on the std. pro could be a misprint! In addition the piston markings are different.
