Hey im posting on here because we see all 4 seasons. I am looking for a tire that i can use all year that still is a bit agressive for deep snow and some mud. Anyone have any suggestions? My trucks an 06 F150.

BFG AT KO's if your not going to tow a lot. They are expensive but if you rotate them you can get 50K out of em easy.

I like the Goodyear "silent Armor " tire myself.. gone 70000 miles... these tires wear very even .Quiet, great handleing. I just bought a new set I liked them so much.

love mine. a little pricey but awesome tire. great in snow and good on ice. have 9000 on mine now and there still showing new thread depth.

There quiet on the highway but still aggressive when you need them

Plus a big plus when I bought mine was they are winter rated and are an all terrian. I think good year has the only winter rated all terrians in the silent armour and the duratrac.

hey thanks for the replys. Im liking the wranglers silent armours, there is a pro grade option, is it worth it? i dont tow over 6000 lbs. ever. may help the life of the tire?? Also snopro31 i think i saw in another forum that you have a f150, what size tires did you go with? and are you leveled?

That "Tire Rack" link that was provided is very helpful. I strongly suggest taking that into account. I like my Dueler Revo's. I hate my BFG Long Trail T/A. AWFUL on ice. A couple buddies have the Goodyear DuraTrac's and absolutely love them. Great tire what I hear.

I'd also suggest the Silent Armors from Goodyear. My friend has them on his F150, pretty solid tire.

Yeah I have a 06 F150 with 18's and 275 65 18's.

Actually to tell you how good the tires are.

I just happened to get back into Swan River from Winnipeg at 330am. Left at 9pm after bball and you know the storm your getting? Well the narrows from WPG to Ste. Rose got about triple. Then with the wind it was probably 5-6 inchs on the road then about 2-3 foot drifts. Kept it in 2x4 until I met a semi that was going right down the middle so slipped it into 4x4 just for moving over. Back into 2x4 and never looked back. Did 90-100 the whole time until St. Rose then the snow was only around 1 inch so it was back to normal 120 or so. But those tires did awesome. They gripped awesome, ploughed right through the drifts, ice and snow and never in the city did I spin or anything. They actually ran good in the city also even tho they are a stiffer tire and are also rougher. But they did good. Gripped extremely well in your cities beautiful "clean" roads on Friday and Saturday (man were they dirty). I thought my mpg dropped a bit but I got 18 mpg round trip with 3 passengers, bags and gear. And on the way back it was pushing 50+ winds then the snow so I guess they didn't drop it at all or barely any.

Pro Comp Extreme AT Do good in the mud and snow and they are really good on the sand. They are also quiet on the roads.

i wish i could get 18 mpg! i get around 16 on a good day on the highway lol. I could care less haha. Im thinking about going with a slightly bigger tire, possibly a 275/70/18 or 285/65/18. Thanks for your help!

Yeah I kinda wish I would've went a bit bigger myself but o well.

It was a toss up between the Silent Armours and the duratracs but took the silent armours cause I got one tire free.

I have an F350 and I bought Wrangler SilentArmors (LT275/70R18) but haven't put them on yet. They are load range "E" aka Pro-Grade. I wouldn't recommend the Pro-Grade on an F-150 they will be too hard and won't flex enough. It will be a bumpy ride.

pro grade or not i believe most of them are load range E. It says the rubber is "hardened" or something like that to last in high tourque applications. I run 40 psi in my tires now and it rides nice.

I personally wouldnt buy EITHER a Ford OR a Goodyear product. For truck tires, working at a Tire Store, I wouldnt buy anything other than the Michellin LTX, LTX M/S2, or the LTX LT2...all depending on Application. I raced my truck for a season, and 47K miles later, I still have 5/32s and still stuff my truck into snowbanks and it pulls right out.
