Anybody over 230 lbs picked up a 500?Just wondering how you like the sled.I rode sno-pro zr 440's for years and always enjoyed them on the trail and in short drag situations(5-600 feet).Just looking for some feedback.Thinking of selling the 1000.Great sled but not flickable enough for me.

I am 6ft1 and 220 dressed to ride and the sled is a blast. Coming from the 1000 you may miss some power but there are options for that. I am thouroughly enjoying mine. The handling and bump ability are top notch, I also love the riding position it fits me well

Kind of curious to see how it feels when I sit on it.I'm 6'3 and weigh a touch over 240 with gear on.Don't really care about top end.Just want something quick to 65-70 mph.Gonna go to my local dealer today and check it out.

Your in luck!!!!
I weigh 250 without gear and Just sold my Crossfire 1000.
I'll tell what, Yup you will be down on power but the Fun factor more than makes up for it.
The 500 comes out of the hole and will stay with just about any one you are riding with up to about 60
and over the rough and twisties -------- you won't be disapointed

Sweet,I will head to my dealer tomm. afternoon and see what kind of a deal I can get.Like I said my f1000 is a great sled with plenty of power, but when i had my 440's it seemed like I wanted to ride alot more. Now I just run mine at radar runs and on the lakes.i want to get back to ditch banging and having fun.

You won't be disappointed. It is a great sled, lots of fun to ride. As good as the Crossfire is, I enjoy riding both the SP500 and the SP600 more.

i am 6'3ish and have to go around 260 fully geared. the sled is awesome. i have logged almost 900 miles on mine since i picked it up, and other than the lack of top end speed, i have no real complaints. thought i may miss reverse, but it is easy enough for me to grab a ski and slide the front end, or just throw the ass end around.

Has anyone looked to see if a firecat or ZR style chain case can be grafted in there to allow mechanical reverse ?

Hey skidmark
I'm thinking about buying a leftover sno pro 500. I go riding up in woodford vt all the time, how does the sno pro 500 do on those trails? Does it have enough power to keep up with an 2010 F8 on those trails?
