Thinking of going up to Mauston this weekend for the radar runs at the Dirty Turtle just wondering if the trails are rideable. I know this warmup has taken its toll on the snow but I just wanna know if anyone has been out on the trails in the last couple days and how they might look. My buddies Cabin is on the south shore of the lake and I just wanna know if I'd be able to ride or if its bad enough to the point where I'll be burning my hyfax if I do.
Thanks,
Matt

I live a few minutes off the lake on the south West side between the lake and Mauston.
Trails last weekend were awesome.
THey still look decent for the most part. But the shoulders are getting pretty bare on the side of the roads. If you have to do any road riding to get to the trails put some old carbides on.
Wife wanted to get some riding in on sunday, if you want to get together let me know. I know the area pretty well. I live over by the Way Station bar..... its about a 5 min sled ride for me to get there.
Hyfax are cheap, will be the last riding around here for a while.

We were wondering the same thing about the trail. We are thinking about going up there depending on the trail, but I heard they are going to be closing the trails up there soon also

Just heard back from my buddy and he says that they closed the trails up there. The radar run is still a go but I'm probably gonna just go up to the radar run in St. Germain next weekend. Looks like the weather should be better with cold and snow in the forecast further up north for next weekend. Thanks for the info Kevin we should meet up and ride up there sometime for sure.
