Just to tell you i was reasently ripped from someone in the UK also. Name was Sam Joe. email address. is colemama2222@yahoo.co.uk he claimed to have seem a classified on my sled. witch i did put alot of classifieds. he sayed that he would send me a cheque of 10500 USD. he sayed take your money 6700 and take 200 on top of that to give send the rest of the money to my shipper. when i recieved the cheque The Bank holded it till it was to clear. and i have read of fraudulent things in magasines so i decided to tell the buyer to wait till the cheque clears. we remained in contact, 18 buisness days in , my account was frozen, i was unable to touch it. as it follows today. it says i have no money in my account even though i had way more than that cheque. in the end i did not let go of my sled thanks god. But i still am unable of extracting any money from my account. and also i was deducted 300 canadian dollars from my money because of the exchange rate. dont ask me why i try to fight it but no. it so happens that when they put it in my account it was worth less then when the took it out. But what i dont get is THERE WAS NEVER REAL CASH IN THERE NUM NUTZZ!!! in the end i lost 300 dollars and got a frozen account. Ive realized that most of these fraudualnt crimes are or always seem to be in from UK. i guess they have nothing better to do. im still trying to sell my sled.

A good movie for all to rent is MATCHSTICK MEN with Nickolas Cage. The movie is has a great plot about scammers but the movie overall is just OK. Worth a watch.

I just got a check from someone in Germany, they purchased some parts that I had on ebay. I just got the check and they want the parts shipped to Florida. This seems suspicious and I don't want my account being frozen or anything like that. Any advice guys? Is there a way to check if this is a legit check and cash it with out giving out my bank account #? Thanks.

Take it to your bank and ask them to run it, and that you are a little suspicious about it. If you don't cash it, they won't freeze your accout normally. Explain the situation to them. Anytime I sell something on e-bay and the buyer wants to send a check, I tell them I will not ship the item until the check clears. Do not ship until the check clears. Email the seller and tell them you recieved the check but are waiting for it to clear. If they give you a hard time, contact ebay. Infact contact them through ebay, then there is a record with ebay that you contacted the buyer.

Don't let it happen again. Why would anyone in the UK want a sled? Do they have snow there? In mainland Europe I know they do but UK?

I was selling my car a while back and ran into similar scams. I received many emails from people wishing to buy my vehicle overseas. Now mind you it was hardly worth anything and I refused every single one. I even received emails months after my car had been removed from classifieds. My brother had a similar circumstance from someone who was going to pay him $10,000 for his $5000 dodge neon. They said use the rest for shipping and keep the extra. Well he was in the Marine Corps and they found out it was a scam to buy cars with military tags to be able to get on base. Be careful and I would never sell anything overseas.

I was trying to sell my f7 on ebay and i had it listed on ebay and i had listed my f6 on different sites.

I got tons of emails all claiming that they were from the UK and they would send me a check for about double the amount that i wanted for my sleds.

I even had a guy tell me that he would have a shipper swing by my house to pick up the sled because his shipper had to pick up a poodle for his wife around my area.

The funny thing is that I asked him what item he was reffering to that he wanted because i had more than one item listed he had no idea.

DONT SELL ANYTHING TO ANYONE IN THE UK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :div20:
