i heard that i could send my cdi box away to bomby and they could rebuil it for me for drag racing so that i could get a higher rpm, is this true?
and i was also wondering if i shoul put a set of high compression racing domes in my sled, its already clutched and geared and jetted, but if i put the domes in would i have ta change anything else?

You can send your cdi to skidoo to have it reprogrammed. Contact the skidoo race department. If you just want to increase your top rpm you can do that with some clutching. If you want to change the timing curve and run some high octane they can change that. You'll have to clutch it to get it to rev where you want. The cdi's also have a rev limiter programmed into them..Skidoo can change that too... buttrock.gif flag_canada.gif

yeah i just got my cdi box back from the race department, and they said they put a grass drag setup in my cdi box, maxing my rpms out at 9500 and also advancing my timing, but when i sent it i let them no that i race snow drags and grass drags, i guess they figured the grass setup would be the way to go for both. but they also said i cant use that cdi box for trail riding now, so i guess ill have ta buy a new cdi box for trail riding. yeah my sled is already clutched and geared, ive tryed jetting to but with the dpm it just compensates for it so im realy just wasting my time jetting i think. oh yeah and i was just wondering if the muskoka area ever has and snow drags?
thx

The problem is that every time you swap out the cdi's you have to reclutch it back to near stock or whatever trail setup you ride with. I'd ask skidoo why you can't run the new curve on the trail? If you can use it for ice drags, why not the trail. The only ice drags around are in the COSDRA circuit. Other than that there is the odd radar run. My brother lives in North Bay on Trout Lake. He's got our two race sleds up there. It seems to me that North Bay has some of the best drags around!!!
See ya at the Portage...

i have my sled clutched and geared alreay and thats how i ride the trails so i shouldnt have to switch my clutching setup, i should just have ta switvh the cdi boxes. well i just moved to north bay a i live on trout lake to and ive never heard of north bay having any snow or ice drag races but maybe they do.
thx man
