would the be a good place to stay around then end of december time for ride? is there decent amount of snow ect? the help would be great thank.

It is hard to predict the snow conditions for even late December these days. It could go either way. The trails will be open, but conditions would be anyones guess at this point. The western UP will be good by then, and is only a 45-60 minute trailer ride away. If you want good snow almost guaranteed, I would look up that way.

I'd head farther north to at least minocqua or eagle river. Many great places to ride, stay and eat in between and around those areas. Not to mention it puts you in a decent position to ride to the UP or pretty much any where.
