Hello everyone! Just found a dealer who is repairing the mechanical cam chain tensioner in Wisconsin! Even before it breaks and is out of warranty! SHEBOYGAN YAMAHA! Talk to Shawn in the service department! Dropped my 2005 Vector off yesterday! They will cover it uder the Yamaha good will warranty if your warranty is expired! Which mine is! They are repairing them even if it is not making noise! Get it fixed now before the rush starts in the Fall! It would be nice if you mention where you got the info from (Troy). There is nothing in it for me, just want to help everybody out! Good luck and let me know how you like their service! This is for the 05' - 07' models. P.S. (I live closer to T.A. Motorsports, but they are not covering it right now).
For those of you not informed about the issue, the mechanical cam tensioner will break! If you don't get it fixed soon enough it will wreck the whole motor! This covers all the 05'-07' RS Models. Don't wait till it breaks on the trail! Get it in!
