Earn a Buck is dead this year except in the areas of CWD. Good thing, as I have seen less dear the past 3 years. I hunt near Crandon so Earn a Buck was a non issue to us.

Yeah I hunt north of Antigo and I don't have to worry about that either but the landowners that have land want to make a statement and shut down there land to snowmobile trails that cross it. That is the scary part especially down towards Oshkosh were we need the landowners to give us permission to go accross ther land with the trail....

What are the land owners pissed about? If you're a hunter I would think no EAB is a good thing - don't understand why they would be closing their land????

Hunters want EAB closed for good and the DNR said only for one year and they will check into it for next year....

Then at the end of that year, the DNR will state that they had "inconclusive evidence and get an emergency order to extand it for 3 more years".
doesn't that sound a little familiar? sort of like the nighttime speed limit, all they are doing is trying to ease it in slowly so we do not jerk back in pain, then they ram it in tight!
