As of now, I dont know where they are going to test ride the Yamaha's. There is nothing prepared yet like they did last year. There isnt even any snow in the parking lots in town to haul in so we will see. I work in Lake Geneva so tomorrow I am going to check it out.

I may go
EXCESSIVE FORCE
I plan on going...I think they're gonna have to haul the snow a long ways though.....
hell seeker
when is it
polarisindy400
March 20th,21st and 22nd. There will be plenty of snow.
CocoJoesSledder
I'll be there... Like said, as of now there is NO snow just lots of brown grass and mud
polarisindy400
Grass and mud by the ski hill?
CocoJoesSledder
I dont know about Geneva's hill, I live SW of milwaukee, 30mins from Lake Geneva, and there is nothing on the ground. Most of the snow-plow mounts are gone too and we're looking to get another warm-up. That brown grass might even be green by next week if this crap weather continues

For guys that have been in the past. Is it Kid Safe? I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter that I'd probably have to bring if I go.

Also, anyone know the hours?
bullet2five
It should be on the Grand Geneva resort web site.

I never said it was mud and grass at the hill, I was referring to the area surrounding my house and I live less then 30mins from lake Geneva. In fact, I clearified this in the follow up post.

Here is a live webcam of the hill. http://reservations.marcushotels.com/ggski/skicam.html

There has never been a problem with snow. You might see a few dirty spots on top of the hills but that's usually it. The Walworth County Snowmobile Alliance willl have the AWSC trailer there that we will be selling raffle tickets out of. The first several prizes are cash, starting at $1000.00. Please support the local clubs, tickets are $2.00 each. Stop by and say hello.

Tucker wont be there, he's in California racing motorcross. I think they said he already won the championship.
CocoJoesSledder
They must have been busy last night. Track is almost done, or it appears that way from the webcam. There was nothing there yesterday. http://reservations.marcushotels.com/ggski...p;temp1=3176229

Wow you got one hell of a camera on your hands.. I have about 238 pictures and 15 videos. I will post my favorite video when I can. It is the hole shot coming up the hill..
dntsne1
Thanks! I have a Canon Digital Rebel XTI, and I put on at 100-300 lense so I was able to really zoom in.
I got some real good pics but the color is a little washed out with reflection off the snow... I have a UV filter but I forgot it at home.

I was able to shoot from the first jump (from the start line) and get all the way over to the up hill loop and I was also able to get shots on the finish line jump. The only bad part of the finish line shots were that the flags got in the way of the progression in the air.

Polarizing filter works well for snow shots also. Thats what i used in Houghton during winter carnival. Nice pics of the races.
