So did any new snow fall from yesterdays storm. I know it was rain for a while which couldnt have helped anything but is there hope for another ride?

Not expecting anything good, just looking to see if I can get to the local watering hole this weekend without destroying my sled.

Dusting all we received in Saint germain/sayner area. My sleds arn't leaving the garage till we get another 6". Trails are real bad. Al over at hiawatha even said we are done till more snow comes.

Thanks for the update....not exactly what I was looking to hear but what can you do.

Maybe it will have to be Hurley again then for this weekend. Too bad...I guess I will have to spend my Saturday night on Silver Street again!

Im not giving up hope yet. All it takes is a good storm and we are back in business. I need to get 4000miles this year and I would rather it was on snow then dirt!

Jason,

We cancelled our trip for the weekend this morning when I talked to my brother and our club President and they both said it was very iffy at best. We were hoping to get one more in before we go on a vacation someplace very warm next weekend. I would have really liked to get another ride in this year. We only got up twice this year because our businesses have been swamped, and the snows here hit at the wrong time. This is the fourth weekend we had to cancell because of conflict, or marginal trails on that end.

Oh well, with just a smidge under 600 miles this year, at least the off season maintenance will be minimal.

After 2 great seasons and a great half season this year, we have nothing to complain about.

it has been great.. I put on close to 2k this year alone.. It would usually take us 3-4 seasons to put on 2k miles and the best thing about it was I did all bout 600 from my back yard. 34x were from Michigan and the other 2-3 hundred were in a 45 minute drive to shawano.. I'm not complaining at all its been great and I hope there is 6-8 more years to come.. I did really miss not making up towards mountain and wabeno along with the eagle river area.. Seems like we always wanted to saddle bag it from home up to michigan and back when we had no snow now that we do get good seasons we dont travel as far.. Seems backasswards to me.. I hope everyone had a good as season as I did.. Total damage for this year was welding my pipe back together and 80 bucks on a new heat shield..

I grew up in the Wausau area and my brother lives in Rhinelander.
