Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could give me a walk through on taking the clutches off the sled, taking them apart, installing rollers, weights, and springs, and anything else i should do to my clutches while i have them apart. Should i just get a manual for clutching? Any other info is welcome....
Thanks... TJ

The best thing you could do is buy the 2003 pro x service manual. Polaris part # 9918053. It will show you that and alot of other usefull stuff.

Agreed. It's a little too indepth for an explaination here. Disassembly of the primary clutch will require special tools. The Polaris primary is a higher maintence clutch. I refresh mine every 3000 miles. Usually 1x per year. Some let their clutches go longer. I like a tight clutch. Why spend all those bucks on mods just to have a loose clutch rob the power? It's probably the most overlooked area on a performance sled.

There is soooo much info on the web about clutching it's easy to learn all you need to know....and more. With the book and the web, you should be doing your own clutching in no time.

If you want to watch someone do it. Erlandson has a begginer tape and a tape that gets alot more indepth. They would be perfect for ya to watch. They aren't too bad. I've watched them and picked up a couple tips. I've been doing clutching for atleast 16 - 17 yrs. Good luck.

I've got both the manual and the video, and both together helped a lot. Buy good tools to. Don't scrimp.
