Hi fellow hardcores. Well summer is winding down and of course I have the urge to soup up my sled (98xc) or................buy a 02 pro x 700, 4000 mi price around 49 off a dealer. Man i hate the thought on giving up on my 98-6 but a 02-7 might help. Is it true the 02-7s are a little stronger than the rest? Is 4000 mi. high milage. Can i make my slp pipe fit? Is 4900 hundred to much? My xc is fast but the hole shot is not as good as an edge right? Please help im trembling :beer2: Boy has this summer been wet maybe the winter will be the same

02 700's are supposed to be nice but price sems on the high side. I pickd up a 03 600 with 1800 miles for $3800.

Well first off polaris didn't make a 700 pro x in 02 only the 440&600. Are you sure it's not an edge X. The slp pipe won't work that you have now on the sled. And to me $4900 seems pretty high for an 02 7000 with 4000 miles.

I paid slighty more than that for a new 03 ProX 700 about a month ago.

And 4,000 miles is a lot, depending on the maintenance habits and riding style of the previous owners.

If it is an 02 Edge X 700, and that many miles, the price is definitely high. You can find leftover new 03s for that kind of money if you look around enough. The 02 you are looking at was a good solid running sled. But, I think you could do much better for that kind of money.
