I just picked up an 07 FST Switchback to replace my wrecked 08 Yami Vector LTX GT. Wanted to stay 4 stroke, so I ended up with this "crossover" sled.

At any rate, the person I purchased the sled from did not have the owners manual.

I am wondering how to change the belts on these things. Is it difficult? I do know a special tool is needed, which I do have in the tool kit.

If someone could please outline, step by step, the process to change the belt, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Insert tool in side of secondary, turn in, secondary opens up, remove belt, replace new belt. Get the better belt, approx. $175.

I believe the better belt from Polaris ends with 17 and is around $175. The 21s are, or at least they were, prone to failure. The shop where I ordered my last belt has been trying ot get a 17 and they keep sending him the 21,. It may be an availability issue or they may have discontinued the 17. It is still in the parts catalog though.
