I have a Sony Cyber shot camera that i bought 3yrs ago that started acting up about a week ago and I can't figure it out. It'll turn on but not take a pic. Screen is black and then white writeing will come on the screen saying to shut the camera off and back on. Then lens cover won't come on either. You can turn it on a see old pics on it but when you turn the knob to take a pic nothing. Sony wants $160 to fix and it's not worth it to me. I really don't use the camera much so i really don't want to buy a new one. Does anyone know anyone that works on them? Thanks for any help. Dillon

My advice, put it on ebay and sell it 'as is'. you will get something for it, and put that toward a new one.

Update. Tore it apart last night to see if the was something loose or broke and saw nothing. Put it back together and it works. It take a couple of seconds longer for a pic to come up on the screen when first turned on but other than that it works. flag_usa.gif

Does it have a watch type battery in it for the date memory? If they go dead it will not work right. I don't know if yours has one. Mine has a 2035 in it. Just thought I would mention it.

this digital camera gives you an oppertonity take a great pics at night time, daytime. It is very compact to take on birthday parties, on sport events... and it has also 1 advantage too.. with it you can capture pics without BLUURING
