I'm trying to plan a snowmobile/honeymoon trip in Quebec for the end of January and I'm not sure where a good place would be. Where are the best trails located and where can I find a secure place for parking of truck, trailer and sleds? I'd like to find a motel or cabin with a jacuzzi (if possible) for relaxing after long days out on the trails. Neither one of us have ridden in Quebec yet, so any help would be appreciated.

Mont Tremblant area could be the place for a honeymoon. Very upscale and luxurious but also very expensive. Its approx 1.5hrs North of Montreal with plenty of access to the snowmobile trails.

Thanks for the info. I'd be coming up from Maine, so would there be somewhere a little closer? It would take almost two hours just to get into Canada. If we could get to our destination in about four or five hours, that would be great. Any places a little closer or how much further would Mont Tremblant area be from the Maine (Jackman)/Canadian border?

HOW MANY NIGHTS, WHAT I AM PLANNING WITH MY WIFE IS. THREE DIFFERENT NIGHTS AT THREE DIFFERENT SPOTS, ALL OF THEM OUTFITTERS WITH VERY QUIET ATMOSPHERES AND GREAT SERVICE. ITS 75.00 CDN PER PERSON INCLS SUPPER/BED/BREAKFAST. FOOD IS GREAT NAD HUGE PORTIONS. ALL OF THEM HAVE HOT TUBS, USUALLY OUTSIDE. ONE PLACE IS CALLED MEKOOS, IT IS ON THE NET, THE PICTURES DONT JUSTIFY IT THOUGH, THEY BUILT A NEW LOG LODGE AND ITS REALLY NICE. ANOTHER IS 100 LAKES AND THE OTHER IS J.B SCOTT. THESE ARE ALL IN THE LAURENTIANS. WE DRIVE FROM CORNWALL ABOUT AN HOUR AND 3/4 NORTH. PARK AND GO. IF INTERSTED LET ME KNOW I WILL HELP.

THIS MAY HELP. GO UNDER SEARCH AND LOOK UP CLUBSCOTT. 100 LAKES IS WWW.100LACS.COM AND FOR MEKOOS LOOK UNDER SEARCH. ALSO HERE IS A QUEBEC SNOWMOBILE VACATION GUIDE. WWW.HIVERENPOURVOIRIE.COM

The Bennadict Arnold in St. Georges and the L'Osissiere in Montmagny are too real nice places I've stayed that are close to the boarder crossing @ Jackman I don't think the Arnold has a hot tub but the L'Ossiere does and an indoor pool St Georges is about a 1/2 hour from the boarder and Montmagny is probably more like 2-21/2 hrs

If you really want a luxury stay, you could try the Manoir Richelieu. It's just over the seaway but it's unbelievable luxury with great riding out to the north with some of the best riding in Quebec out of their yard, There is also a casino right in the same yard. / Try this link

Mont Tremblant is a LONG truck ride from Maine.

I would agree with Denny's recommendations. Here is the website for that area Chaudiere-Appalaches Website

The Eastern Townships link is below. I think Lac Megantic has a nice hotel on it.

Come up to the Saguenay-Lac St Jean region. Several nice places to stay at.. The Hotel Du Jardin in Saint Felicien has a honeymoon suite that is real nice. Riding in the area is awesome.

Check out the link below. The place is beautiful. I have only had dinner and drinks over the last 4 years there. We always stay in St Zenon but this place is top notch and on the trails. It has secure sled parking. Don't know the distance from Maine however.

Two places come to mind for your honeymoon, Montange Coupee in St John De Matheu and Esterelle in the area of Annunciaion QUEBEC. Lac Toreau is a very impressive place as well and they all have web sites Rich B

There is an incredible place in the central Lenaudiere, in a little town called St-Alphonse-de-Rodriquez. The Auberge is called Auberge sur la Falaise and it is primo. Sur La Falaise translates as "on the cliff" and it is well named.

The Auberge is a family run biz that has been there for years and offers exceptional service, cuisine, and accomodations. It is just the spot for a Honeymoon as the dining and rooms are tres bien.

My wife and I, even though we have a home on Lac Archambault in St-Donat, go to sur la Falaise every couple of years for an overnite just cause it's so neat. They have indoor, heated storage for sleds.

Ask for one of the "deluxe" rooms on the third floor. They have jacuzzi's and fireplaces.

Hi smclean
I have been sledding with my sons around the Gaspe for many years. The main trail will take you along the St Lawrence I think it is # 5 but the riding is much better up the middle to the Gaspe. Wide trails and much more fun lots of deep snow because you’re up in the mountains away from the Saint Lawrence. Great place to start is River DuLoup . After Tri pistols you can start to look for the middle trails they end up in the Gaspe. You can do twice as much riding in 3-4 days.
Great time

yo momma have you been holding out on us and thinking of getting married and honeymooning in Quebec????????
yo momma
Nah ..............I just like being pampered after trying to keep up with you and Rob all day! :smilielol: :beer2:

Just found another incredible spot w/Quebec tourism in the Gaspe called Gite Du Mont Albert. It's nestled in the Chic Chocs 42kms inland from St Anne Des Monts in the Parc National de la Gaspesie. Sweet spot........... but you can't get into the Parc with a snowmobile. I called them and they said you could store the sled over night in St. Anne and take a taxi into the Parc to get there...............I'll get right on that ............yeah right!! :augen41:

Anyway here's the link for you adventurous types thinking of poaching the big pow in the parc......not that I support that!.......

Well, I'm glad to hear that you are doing anything foolish. But hell, anyone 24 years my junior should be able to keep up with an old guy like me. We'll see this winter.

NONSENSE .............You ride that thing like you stole it! :beer2: :div20: :fluffy:

I've got a buddy from NYC I may be touring around up there at some point this winter...........he's kinda particular about where he sleeps and eats so I'm researching some spots to stay, ride and rent.

Friends of mine and I drive 8 1/2 hours each way every winter to stay at La Cuilliere a Pot in St Donat, Quebec (the lanaudiere region). For 2 people $110/night gets you a luxury room with large whirlpool tub, full breakfast and a 4 course dinner that is always excellent! There is a lodge with dining room and bar area, lighted sled area with night watchman and security cables and main trail 33 right outsied their door. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS WINTER! yay2.gif
