Bought a Kodak DX 3600 camera back in 2001 and loved all aspects of it other than it didn't zoom enough to suit my some times needs. I liked the upload program that came with the camera a lot and gave names to each picture & picked the folder it went to as they came off the camera.
Then for Christmas 2004 We decided to up grade to a Kodak DX6490 for the zoom aspect. To this day I recommend the camera, The program on the other hand is crap. Have fought with it for nearly 4 months and finally said to Hell with it. I use a card reader now and HP image zone plus program. Works much better than K.E.S. althoiugh I have to name the pictures and move them to the desired folder after the upload.
Since I have different subjects I really would like to send them fro the camera to a different folder as required.

i hear you on the easy share program. I use a card reader at work, and download them straight off the camera at home, i am real close to getting another reader for home, they are cheap enough. I just bought a new dell and it came with a CX6200, great little camera, program sucks. I just take them off the camera and play with paint shop, much better than that kodak program

Some resent pictures with the DX 6490. I'm a bee keeper and find cataching swarms enjoyable.

My wife is into heavy flower gardening.

ya nic shot of bird.I used to keep bees when I was a kid, catching a swarm is like a foot of snow in the winter. Once one was covering corn stalk that was the easyest ,getting them out of trees is tuff .

Thanks for the nice comments. Yup I love catching swarms, free bees and honey money. $8.00 a quart now.
I really like the picture results with either the DX3500 or the DX6490 but as i said the down load program is junk and spoils the Camrea experinace. It shouldn't be so complcated just to resize a picture with the program. I only found it because i as tinkering with a picture for a Christmas card. Still use the card reader and HP's image zone plus a lot now.
A copuler from yesterday.
