there aren't usually too many sleds at NED not sure if it the 1/4 vrs. 1/8 miles or that they bracket race them with the bikes but Oxford has a good turn out on friday nights for sleds usually 40 or so last season atleast the faster stuff at Oxford is going in the 5's @120+ They also run a test and tune for cars on fridays much more fun than NED IMO

Hopefully, if things go as planned. I should be running low 10's @ 125-128mph.

abbotts powersports has a polaris on nitrous that ran 164mph there, woodys performance has a twin turbo'd rx-1 that goes 157, there are some very fast and quick sleds there!
PS hey motorsport if you go down there next year maybe we can meet, my bud, Jim Hess is a big influence in the sled class down there.also the sleds have really taken off and there are quite a few running now i guess. keep in mind though that if your sled goes faster than 10.00sec or over 125 in the 1/4 you need to have your ihra lisence also if you go faster than 6.4sec in the 1/8 you need to be lisenced, you need full leathers a snell 90 or newer helmet.i just got my lisence this yr its real easy so if your interested drop me a line and we can get you setup.

Hi all. I am new to this forum, however I am one of the religious asphalt snowmobile racers at New England Dragway. The sleds are run with the bikes in the full 1/4 mile, and the class is run by computek pairing (computer generated pairing system) and its really fun. The more turnout, the more there is to be won. New England Dragway follows all IHRA rules in the rulebook for snowmobiles. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask away. We hope to see some new faces to the motorcycle class this upcoming year.

I'm always at New England Dragway any chance I get. Theres a guy with a Pro-X running a 1500cc, I don't remember how fast he went. Also theres a couple other guys with ZRT's. I remember last year at the IHRA Nationals a guy had a dragster with a Arctic Cat tripple on it, prob. was a Thunder Cat maybe bored out. I have pics. of that somewhere on my computer. When I find them I'll post them.

That would be me. The sled was a Polaris Indy Triumph 600cc stock motor sled, run on a 2-step. The night Jim and I ran was one of the night shows on June 12th...racing anytime is a blast.

Such a quick sled. Anyway I've gone to Nationals for the past 4 years. This year I was in a wheel chair (due to a motorcycle accident in August). Anyone who went might have seen me, I had car spinner hub caps zip tied to the wheels......I had to role in style.

Well thank you. It's awesome to feel the breeze going under your suit down the 1/4. It could be 100 degrees out, and when you're going down the track it's like automatic air-conditioning. That sled is wicked off a 2-step..quite a different throttling experience.....I must say. It helps with the fact that sleds have a slower time reacting than bikes and whatnot....evens the playing field a bit.
