Anyone have experience info on the team roller clutch inner bushing problem?
My 03 PROX7 has had erratic shift rpm and clutch binding. When apart it appears the inner bushing is worn allowing the clutch to bind. I had seen posts last year about this and someone mentioned that POLARIS is aware and may be replacing the clutch. Was this BONZ50?
Any advice or help please.
My dealer looks at me like I'm an alien of course!

Not sure if it is the same as our 04 500xcsp's but we had to replace both sleds bushings@ 2000 miles...total wore out..the dealer also to me that there was nothing wrong, just keep driving it...until the vibration got really bad...

The spring in your clutch needs to be replaced with a new one that is wound in the opposite direction. They also have a shim kit for the clutch, which includes a plastic washer that goes under each side of the spring. Call Team's tech line and ask them about the situation. The number is 1-866-766-9288. There have been several posts about this if you do a search. I just had to buy the replacement spring and shim kit for my clutch.

I have the correct spring and washer setup. I used the original backward wound spring ( the correct red/blue one) for the 1st 1000 miles and put 2000 more on the new spring. The inner bushing appears toast....3000 miles on the odometer.
So much for the durability of the team roller!! I used to put 10000 miles on my button clutches before they wore out and even then they didn't bind!
Can this inner bushing be replaced? I have been told it is not replaceable..need a clutch.
Do you guys recall who posted last year about this topic stating that they got Polaris to replace their clutch for the same problem?
I got very similar results from my button clutch with a Blue/orange spring and a 52/42/36 Dalton helix last year on this sled as I was getting from my roller with a red/blue spring and 70/44. A bit harder pulling midrange and rollon accel with the roller but a bit higher top speed with the button........and no clunkin when on and off the gas from the reverse cut in the roller! Is pretty hard to ignore the PERC button though!!
I've been bitin my tongue, workin hard and spendin cash to dial in this PROX but I'm gettin pretty frustrated. I don't mind and enjoy testing and tuning but coughin up cash for a new roller @ 3000 miles will frost me! I've never had a Polaris sled come so far off the mark with setup....and I bought a #*!$%@ PROX as a top of the line " serious sled" paying top dollar to boot!! Have been and am VERY lOYAL Polaris sled head with a long history of awesome sleds behind me......but i'm gettin crusty!
There.....felt good to rant......Polaris are cool..all others are still lame!!

I've heard of the bushings going bad also from the spring binding. I thought they were replacable, but I've never looked into it. If there not I think your dealer should try and help you out with waranty on it. After all they did change the spring because they relized they had a problem. Call up team and talk to the tech he will be able to answer your questions. Rtoner posted the # above.
