What is the exact procedure for checking belt deflection? What should it be adjusted to? will deflection be changed by messing with clutch or gear set ups?
thanks

Lay a straight edge across the top of the belt then push down on the belt and measure the distance between the straight edge and the belt according to my manual the deflection on mine should be around one and a quarter inches. I wouldn't think that changeing the clutch or gearing would have any effect on the belt deflection
