I was wondering what the difference was between a secondary red/blue and a red/dark blue if there is such a thing. And also what the difference between a Helix with the numbers 70-46-46 and 70-44-46. And was also wondering what the best weights would be belli busters from EPI or just polaris weights. Does it really matter if you put different brands together. These are items for a Pro XR 800 and was wondering what is going to work better for me. Thanks all help is apperciated.

There is only a red/dk. blue spring for the team secondary, no red/blue as of now. Both of the helixes start at 70 degrees, and hold it for .46 inches down the ramp. Then the one changes to a 46 degree, the other a 44. For your 800 use the 70/46-.46. For weights, Polaris for now does not have any heavier weights than the 10-66. Your 800 needs heavier than this. Go to some 70 or 68 gram belly busters, depending on your weight, and the altitude you ride at. The 800 needs to be loaded for best performance. Also jet that thing down, it is way too rich to make the power it can stock. Gut the airbox and go to 420 mains. This would be good to -20C at 1000 ft. Also make sure the VES valves are changed to the titanium, or stainless ones. If the stainless, go to the 700 ves springs as well.

I DID EVERYTHING POCKETS RECOMMENDED EXCEPT FOR THE VALVES AND SPRINGS, AND IT WORKS REALLY GOOD. TRY GEARS AS WELL I WENT 24/41. POCKETS WHY THE VALVE AND SPRING CHANGES

Thanks pockets i was going to try 72 gram belly busters are they to heavy and which valves are better the titanium or stainless. I was planning on changing them this summer because a buddy of mine has a 2003 Pro X 800 and one of his snapped off in the the engine. Might get warranty dident know yet.

The 72 will be too heavy, unless you keep the stock primary, and secondary spring, andhelix. Even then, that is on theheavy side, and in deeper snow, or warmer weather, you will not pull the rpm I think. The stock valves will fail, it is just a matter of time. The titanium ones are the better of the two in my opinion, and the reason for the ves spring change when the stainless are used is because of the increased weight.

Thanks pockets so what do you think I weigh 180 pounds so the 68' or 70's. One more question i was wondering if i need to add that tourqe arm, not for sure what it is called. It is supposed to keep the motor mounts from breaking nad clutches lined up

Go with the 70 grams, an almond/red primary spring, 70/46-.46 helix, red/dk. blue secondary, and gear it to 24/41. This is unless you have a deep lug track (over 1.25"), or ride deep snow a lot. Then the 68 grams. A torque arm is a good idea, as the big twin twists a lot.
