This week's Photo Contest subject is the summer solstice, or pictures incorporating the sun. Taking pictures with the sun in the frame is difficult, and often end up in a series of reflections and glare. Try to capture the sun reflecting through clouds, or leaves, or even your girlfriend's hair. Main thing is to consider exposure, and compensate for it. This usually means increasing exposure 2 or 3 stops or more. Otherwise your pictures will come out looking very dark. Check your camera's owner manual for more info.
As with each contest, entries should be new photos taken this coming week, and post them in the digital camera photo gallery reserved for this week's contest. Winner will be chosen next monday June 28th and will receive a HCS sticker. Thanks to all submitting photos for these contests. Have fun!
