The SANS Risk Managemnet Committee met on June 15th for the first time. This group was formed to help make our trails safer for all to enjoy and to find ways to curb and minimize the increases in liability insurance on our provincial trail system. The liability insurance last year went from $71,000 to $85,000. That increase came for no apparent reason, there has never been a claim. Ontario has seen unbelievable increases in the last 5 years, I think from $350,000 to over $3 million. PEI is on the verge of disaster due to passes being priced so high because of liability insurance.
So when someone from the local club calls looking for help to do signage, clear bushes, or what ever your help will be apprieciated. Everyone working together doing a little is what will get a big job done. :help:
