We've been up and stayed on Lake Metigoshe (sp?) and had a blast in ND and
over on the canuck side too. There was no snow here in MN at that time and it
was a long drive from St Paul but worth it.
Let's do it.

Are most of you guys on the east or west side of ND? Where are the Turtle Mountains? How about the MN lakes area around DL? I guess the snow is so unpredictable now.

I live on the east end of ND... Bottineau is about 3 hrs or so from Grand Forks. The Turtle Mountains are just a few of miles north of Bottineau... nice trail system.
I like riding the DL area too, in fact I do most of my riding in NW Minnesota. Like you said, all depends on the snow.

I grew up in Grand Forks, was born in Devils Lake. My folks grew up is Bisbee and Rolla. My Grandma and other relatives ride in the Turtle Mtns all the time. I never rode there. Shot a lot of ducks and geese in the area , though. From Maryland to Grand Forks is 1,550 miles, 26 hours. Drove it three times, flew it many. Wish I could join you!

Wow didn't realize there was this many people from the area on here. I'm from south of Jamestown, ND in Marion. I would be in and I have a cousin from Fargo that I ride with most the time that is usually up for whatever. We ride up at Lake Metigoshe a couple times a year stay at the quilt inn right on the lake pretty much. Seems like they have had some great snow last few years. Just let me know the time and place and I'm in or if you see a 03 Red F7 with snopro stickers and a 151 longtrack on the trail wave me down.

TOo bad we already have the MI and ID trips planned...probably not enough $$$$$$ left over to meet up in Bottineau. If you guys set it up, make sure to let us know how it goes. A group of us (non-HCS people) rode up in Walhalla last winter...that was a pretty good time too.

Hey guys, I just got a PM from goldenboy about both of us being from Fargo and it inspired me to do a Fargo search on this forum. Well, I'd be in for a member get together too, MN, ND, whatever!! I have ridden up in Bottineau once a couple of years ago, but it was before the trails were open and it was snowing like crazy, so I dont really know what its like to ride that area.
