This week's Photo Contest subject is landscape photos. Now it doesn't matter where you live, landscape photos can be cityscapes as well as country scenes. Just try for good composition, and lighting is especially important to good landscape photos. Early morning and late afternoon/early evening is the best time. Try to get the sun around 90 degrees from the direction of your photo, so long shadows are visible. Try to avoid (or edit) powerlines and other distracting elements. Try to include a focal point, like a mountain or attractive building, barn, or whatever. LIGHT is the most important thing to landscape photography. Sometimes 5 minutes later can make a big difference in your photo. Watch the sky and shadows. This is a hard subject, but give it your best shot.
As with last week, entries should be new photos taken this week, and post them in the digital camera photo gallery reserved for this week's contest. Winner will be chosen next monday June 14th and will receive a HCS sticker. Thanks to all submitting photos for these contests. Have fun!
