I have a old 87 Indy 600 that does not have a air box, so i bought some pod filters for it. How should I adjust the jetting for this? Everything is stock on the motor.I think it has 460 mains right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Run the vent lines for the carbs so they are under the hood by the carbs themselves instead of to the handlebars. You will not have to jet up at all.

start at six sizes up and go from there.

Make sure you take alot of plug readings. Look at the top of the pistons. There should be a wash around the ports.

I have newer take apart airbox from a twin if you are interested in it. Easy to cut the third carb hole.

It's fairly easy to find these old air boxes, I think you could use one from 1984
through 1991 Three bangers, and are easy to find at most swap meets. :div20:

I think I will just try to find a stock box, It doenst seem to run to well with the pods, This was my first snowmobile, and I purchased it with no box. Yhe guy who owned it just had little trumpets with screens. It has never really been a good runner. very slow. I think the clutching is all fubar as well. It engages at like 2900 rpm and maxes at 7400. Im sure if I took the time to tune the thing it should go good. any cheap tips for this thing?

You should be able to find one at Haydays for $1 to $10. Maybe even free. They are getting out dated.
