I have a new HP desktop and I am using a Sony HDTV for a moniter and for some reason, when I have the HDMI cable plugged into the computer, it will not boot. When I unplug the cable, the computer boots fine but if i wait until the computer has completely booted up to plug the HDMI cable back in, i get no video. I have to plug the cable in while the computer has already started to boot. Any ideas???

check for updated video card drivers in windows update and at the manufacturer's website.
