Just as a helpful hint, take a look at the front heat exchanger coolant hose (the one that goes frim the thermostat to the right side heat exchanger. It can (and mine did) rub on the recoil housing and wear a hole through the hose.

I noticed the idiot light and shut it down before I fried it, so no big deal. With the help of a little duct tape and a fast trip by my wife to get a gallon of anti-freeze, I was able to limp back home.

I think that I'll carry a small piece of 1" PVC and a couple hose clamps from now on though

My wife has a 2000zl550 . Found out today that the front hose almost worn through on motor mount . Only found it because I was working on the elec. start . So everyone should check theres no matter what model . :mellow:
