I want to add the 600 RR rear cooler to my 600 IQR. The IQR uses full length tunnel coolers, and the RR uses shorter ones that dump into that large rear cooler. If that larger rear cooler will fit betwen the full length coolers I will add it. Otherwise I will be forced to add the smaller rear cooler Polaris orginally made for the Edge M-10 sleds. I need L(front to back) X W(side to side) dimensions please. Thanks!

Its not just the measurements its where the hoses come out. On the 600RR they come out right behind the seat. On most IQR's they come out at the rear. So If you don't want a bunch of crossover hose showing above the Polaris Edge supplemental cooler is the best one to use. I have been told some people take the time to eliminate the crossover hoses by cutting into the coolers and welding on new crossovers, all aluminum, underneath the tunnel. We did the actual measurements with the sleds once before but I cant find my notes right now but I remember it having something to do with the width on the 600RR cooler being wider or It would not fit without protruding into the seat or end of the tunnel using the small crossover tubes. Maybe some hear can help us out with the measurements because it may work if your doing a tunnel extension/mountain mod. Maybe someone can post some pictures as well and we can find a way to make things work without having to cut a hole in the tunnel to put the cooler in. Anyways we sell the edge coolers that work great here:
http://www.jspowersports.com/polaris_iq.htm and I always cut about 3/4" off each end of the hose so it will have less sticking above then I heat up some abs plastic in the oven at about 200 degrees over a 1.25-1.5" pipe to make a new cover to rivet on over the hoses for protection. The 600RR does not have any protection on the rear hoses but they are close to the seat. Hope this helps.

Just by looking at your pics I can tell the RR cooler won't fit. It looks like that one barely fits. I was going to change the tunnel strips to the RR style with the large cooler but nowI think I'll just do something similar to what you did. I do think I'll use the RR hoses as the spread is farter apart and I might be able to mount the cooler a little ways farther back. I want to add a gas rack that can hold 2 1.5 gal. jugs, one on each side of the crossover tubes. Thanks for the pics.

Do you need to add another cooler on an 08 IQR to trail ride? Or will it be fine?

Even the 440 needs an additional cooler if your going to ride it hard. Defiantly Yes for the 600 and 800.

I did the edge cooler exactly as shown on my 1200 and it's not near enough.
Now I have a hole in the tunnel and am having Brad at power addiction build me a new one.
After trying to make a plate to clear the hoses and then mount cans, I should have just went for it to begin with.

Nice U-cooler, that is a little beyond my Tig abilities. I'd be affraid it would leak.
If I was that handy with aluminum I would certainly build my own than pay 4 beans.

Hey Bruce, one step at a time. Your right, Brad's a great guy with sano products.
Cooling is top priority now for longevity. I figure I can wear a back pack full of belts and oil in the meantime ;-)
