I noticed a two wire connector with a black wire loop going from one end to the other on the clutch side, strapped to the steering support by the heat shield.

Sounds like the one you are looking for. The single wire is just there to hole the cap in place after you take the thing off.

Yes it's this one. the black for the negative(12V-) and the yellow for the positive(12V+). Cut the black loop, that was to support the plug ..

That's the plug...going on memory as I can't quite make out the colors on the picture I believe the wire color is red/black stripe (+) and black (-) and is 12vdc. If you need to plug in more than one item Cat has a splitter available which uses Cat's traditional wire coding of Yellow (+) brown (-).

Thanks for the direction.........
These forums have been a wealth of info. How did we get along without the 'wonderful world of the internet' in years past?

We had a bad lightning hit a week ago at our home and knocked out all our telecommunications equipment. Our phones were back on Thursday but no internet at home yet.(It's a no-no at work but....) Of course the cell phones still worked.

My wife has been teasing me about how lost I am without my link to the outside world. Hopefully that'll be fixed today and I'll be connected once again.

I am running three things off the accessory plug...electric faceshield, GPS and a fuel gauge light.

Better view of fuel gauge light I installed

Looks like the picture of all your electronics was taken on the trail north of Hank's Corner.
So where did you get that neet little light. I like that.
