i tried a compression test on my torn down 1982 yamaha maxim 650 it had no wiring so i had to put it in gear and try to spin the rear tire i barley got it threw a compression cycle not even.. and it has no carbs or exhuast on it i got 130-140 psi and that was with compression leaking out and the tester not fully in and me almost not even going a full compression cycle without stoping so i should be good considering all the bad right?

jesus christ get the bike together and try again. and you have to run the engine for 15 minuts or untill it is at running heat. and get a tester thant doesnt leak. and you have to run it threw atleast 4 compression cycles

That's right, cold compression tests tell you very little.
