Guys,

I am a sledding neewbie. This is my second full season. I bought a leftover 08 Shift last year and put 238 miles on it. It all stock except 4 wheels on the back. The track is not studded. My old sled is a Arctic cat 440 and the track was studded when I bought it. Do I need studs? What difference can I expect. My new sled is already night and day from the 440. Does studding the track void the warranty? What else do I need to do to it if I stud it? How many studs?

96 , studs down the center only and new 6" carbides up front, plenty for this sled. You will notice improved traction and braking under icy conditions, also crossing paved or gravel roads the studs help.
