Bought a 06 XFR700sp last spring with Woody's double backer studs in it. I prefer to NOT run studs but they came installed from new from the dealer. My question, if anyone can help me, is can i remove the studs and run the track with NO harm? Is the track weakened at all due to the drilling??? Sled has 500 miles on it. No studs are damaged or have been pulled through. Any advice would be appreciated.

you can remove them without harm, as long as none are ripped out you should be fine

Get a new track and sell that one, it should bring in decent money as long as your studs are bent to hell and worn down. But you can run that with holes in it with out it hurting anything.

Anyone interested in a trade for a non-studded 136" SnoPro track??? Woody's carbide tipped, double backer (blk) studs, none bent, dull, or pulled through. Track has just under 500 easy lake riding miles on it as i purchased the sled over the 2008 Easter weekend.

Slap it on ebay it will sell.
