No doubt, we're in a recession. With Arctic's stock UP it makes me wonder how it happened.

That said, Arctic Cat (or Polaris, BRP or Yamaha) aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Many have learned from the mistakes of others, especially in the 70s. I don't think any of the big 4 will ever disappear. What they offer and how many units may rise and fall but they'll all be there for a long time.

I did my part, I snow checked 2 crossfires back in April, and spent 1000's in parts this winter. F*ck ressesion, sure our wallets are a little tighter due to gas prices and sure home values have dropped back down to REALISTIC levels, but people are still out there spending money. There is no recession, things are just back to normal, the free rides are over, everybody get back to work and earn what you want! There is plenty of work out there, how bad do you want it? If we would stop buying from China, our economy might get back on top. Peace out, I got work to do - saving up for gas money this winter!!!!

Read the report carefully - the stock seems to be over inflated. Sales increased 7% from last year - good. Net Loss 7.9 million - not good. ATV sales down %10 - not good. Lastly sled sales up %80 - very good but prior year (07/08) cats sales figures were dismal.

I little bird told me in my travels that ACAT is priming itself for a (NON-HOSTILE) takeover-BUY OUT by a very large global player in the outdoor and motorized rec. industry. wink.gif
Putting a pink ribbon on the beat up kitty ..so to speak.

....stay tuned.

Well said, obviously a man who doesn't let CNN do his thinking for him. I wish I could convince a few people around here that this is the truth.

X2 - I agree we are in a "mental recession", unless you live in Michigan. That is for real. I know a lot of realtors are hoping something big happens so the media will stop talking about the housing "crisis".
