I will expect 19-20 as a model citizen,.....and 15 while its breaking local laws and being abusive. (93 octane. )

I'd be happy with that. The only non tubo jags I've seen burned More fuel than my F1000 on average trails. I hope the turbo helps cut consumption nut not nearly as much as I hope it just makes it fast.

I wouldn't expect anything above 15 mpg no matter how you run it. Start using the horsepower and you'll be lucky to see 10 mpg. There is no free lunch. Horsepower requires fuel. Fuel economy is not the reason for buying a Turbo Z1!

I have to agree with Charles on this one. His figures might be a little off but you are not going to save HUGE amounts of money with any 4-stroke or SDI 2-stroke. I ride with all of them, sure there are some better then others in certain conditions. But if you can afford a $10000 sled and can't afford $5.00 extra on a fill up??? (that is being on the high side of things) This fuel economy argument makes me laugh. My wife's 2-stroke can burn $5.00 more a fill up then my Jag, but who gives a shit, she loves her sled and doesn't want a 4-stroke...believe me I have tried to talk her into one.

I get 16-18MPG canadian all the time with my Jag. If we are riding hard I will beat other 4-strokes and even the SDI's sometimes, if we are cruising they are better then me. But the difference either way is minimal.

For me, the fuel economy of the Jag is my least important benefit. The power delivery, throttle response, quietness and ride are the huge benefits for me. But hey, each to their own, if you are buying it for fuel economy...you won't be disappointed, they are very good!!
nutin but 90
I average 15 with my jag. They rate jag HP at 8700 rpm and turbo at 7800 maybe less rpm = better mpg

I spoke with a gent from cat that rode the proto for a quite a while and he said that in certain conditions the turbo was 2-3 mpg better in hard running and at least as good or better cruising due to lower rpms the engine is turning. It also pulls less rpm at trial speeds with lower gearing so this can mean less fuel consumed. Kinda like the 800 zr of the past that I had. Ram 80 mph at 6000 rpm. Loved that sled and the great gas mileage it had.
