k im looking at a new sled for myself. its a 2000 thundercat 1000cc, has 4,000 miles. has whoop ass kit by black magic http://www.blackmagicracing.com/site/shop.php?categoryID=129 all work was done at 1,000 miles. one owner, kept in garage since new, driven by only him, and says track and body are in excelent condition. for $1900, is this a goood deal?

That sounds like a pretty decent deal. But those are hard to maintain.

that sounds like a very good deal if you are looking for something like that. just be aware of what you're getting into... i don't normally like buying modded things because you have no idea what issues it might have or quirks or anything, and also that reliability almost always goes down when aftermarket parts are thrown in the mix. if it's a trustworthy seller, then it might be worth the risk.

one thing is for sure though, you'll have the fastest sled out there. only if you come across a more modded t-cat! the sleds are pretty reliable, you have to watch out for waterpump leaks, they start leaking and will wipe out the balance shaft bearing and that turns into a very costly repair!!! also be prepared for very bad fuel mileage, for me that was the final straw. i didn't mind spending the money for gas, but i hated having to stop at every single gas station and hold everybody up because they still had over 1/2 tank, it was pretty ridiculous.
