I got rained out last night and im gona be in Iowa next friday so it will be awhile. I dont know for sure what the problem is yet but it wouldnt pull more than 7200 RPMs, there was 4 codes stored in the ECU, the speed sensor, o2 sensor(which is an invalid code for an FST, it just shows up sometimes), low battery voltage, and a shorted/open wastegate, non of which were current. The speed sensor can cause a "limp mode" but it slows it to 45mph, so thats not it, I ran the battery low palying with the VDO and fan switches. The only one that makes sense is the wastegate but it showed historic and I couldnt make it show back up. It might have been from one of the times i had the sled in pieces and i turned teh key on for a second with one of the srnsors unplugged.

It ran 99.8mph, it came out of the hole good but then just flattened out, but it never pulled over 7200rpm so that explains the lack of topend. I was thinking somewhere around the 108mph mark. I ran 103 on 1000ft of ice this winter. I'll figure it otu and let you guys know.

I put in a different ECU and double checked all teh connections and retightened all the hose clamps and it pulled up to 8500 in the driveway so hopefully we'll get that mid 11 that we were looking for tomorrow night beer_cheers.gif

I didnt get a mid-11 pass last night, my worst pass was an 11.3@112mph and my best was an 11.15@115mph beer_cheers.gif

I forgot my camera this week so i dont have a video of the 11 second passes but I'll get some of next weeks 10 second passes. The reason I say 10 second is becuase im gona haev my girlfriend drive it and sh is roughly 110lbs lighter than me.

Also i have to use the whole video before I can out into my laptop so I will find something this week to use up the extra video.

Thanks, I am working on the video it should be up after this weekend, but the only clear vid is of an 11.03, I forgot to hit record on the 10.84 and the other two 10 second passes were very blurry for some reason?

Whatever comes in it from the factory? I believe they are 24/40? I ordered 23/46 for the grass because thats the shortest they make for the perc-4 case. They list a bunch of them but they never actually produced most of them.

I ran my 2008 FST Switchback at Haydays this weekend.

Won the 500 class (79 mph in 500 feet), 2nd in 600, 3rd in 600 single pipe.

Thats good!! What were the ETs, if you dont mind? I am running mine on grass for the next few weeks and then hopefully getting a few more weekends ons tar after teh grass is done? Maybe we could share some info? I think thats where I ran with my FST SB last season. I would have to doule check but I think most of my passes were 78-82mph and 5.9-6.0 ets.

I am headed back to the dragway tomorrow night. I did find out that the ECU pulls timing once the intake air temp goes over roughly 140oF, so I have to keep the air extremely cool somehow. Just letting the sled idle up to operating temp it made the IAT about 102oF so I am sure it gain atleast that amount when under heavy load...

I'll post results when I get them...

Carl

Guy, I dont have your number but you said you wanted to knwo the next time I go...

Carl,
This is where the benifits of the larger intercooler come into effect. I would think about some type of sprayer on the cooler itself. Imagine if you still had the stock cooler.
Anyway good job as those are some sick time for a fairly stock sled. buttrock.gif

I had the stock cooler in it becuase its for the stock class but I do run the cooler I got from you on the tar and it seems to make a big dirfference on the warmer days. When we run after dark it doesnt seem to be much different. I think I am gona pull the IAT wire out and see what the default temp is in the ECU. If its not cold enough I might put my own resistor in...

We ran it last night to test fot the 1/8th mile but the track was soo cold it would pretty much spin the whole 1/8th(2.4? 60ft vs last time 1.53 60ft). Also, as far as the gearing, the 23/46 w/10t drivers still ran over 93mph after letting off at the 1/8th and getting back into it just to see how fast it would go with those gears in it. I am getting a 21 tooth and hopefully they c an get me a 20 tooth as well...

I just cleaned my gun with ether and it turned frigid cold, to bad you couldnt use something to that effect or alchol to get the ice cold effect. Good luck. i_need_snow.gif

I got it so it always read 76 degrees intake air temp and got the 21 tooth gear. I also got a boost guage hooked up and an intake air temp guage as well for better infomation gathering. I wanted to run it tomorrow night but it supposed to pour buckets wall.gif

The air temp guage is very slow reacting, does anybody know of a company that makes one that reacts fast?
