I am trying to help a friend out fixing his atv. He informed me that he hooked the booster cables up wrong when boosting his lawn mower. I have replaced 3 ground wire's that were melted. I have a little spark but not all of the time. Just wondering if any body has run into this before?

THANKS

I would check all the wires and the ignition components....

UPDATE I have replaced the wires that were burnt. It now rolls over but does not start. Some times I have a very weak spark. I tried the coil from the arctic cat on my honda atv and it worked good so I have eliminated that. I am looking towards the cdi box but don't want to spend that kind of money to find out I am wrong.
