Sled revs correctly but the tach goes to 7k then back to 5k even when it revs higher. I took off the stator plug, put some dielectric grease and plugged it back in to no avail. Anything else I should check out? thanks, Blake

Could be voltage regulator going bad, or a bad connection somewhere else. Check ground on regulator, it may be riveted on, not good...

I see the regulator is riveted on. Is this not good as in a ground or something else????

problem fixed. HI Low switch had a wire loose under the cap....must have been shorting or something like that....
