I have a 03 pro x 440 that was previously a race sled and was thinking about revalving the shocks and changing the torque arm spring rate. I still want a aggressive sled and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, I'm planning on relocating the front torque arm bolts this year and seeing if that helps. I cannot get the sled to weight transfer it just spins right now. I've tried adjusting the limiter straps and changed the spring preload but I still have not gained much traction

yep the reloation mod will help transfer and traction and suspension flow. revavling i can do. probably did about 25 xr revavles last year. everyone loved them. very easy stack to build.

PRO x Torsion springs are nothing special. If anything on the Prox I prefer stiffer springs and lighter valves. What do you weigh? 180 or under stay stock on the spring. Also Prox sleds eat springs check the opening angle and make sure they are still ok.

As far as transfer and relocating your front arm, we had a big discussion on this a while back. Might be worth looking up. If I remember right, the bottom line was that how well this works for you will depend largely on your front end ride height. The tall sleds will work a lot better with the move, but for the sleds with lower front ends, maybe already set up for hard play in the twisties/woods, it may be too much of a good thing.

Don't know what you're running for setup one way or the other, but if your RRSS is set too tight/coupling up too quickly, that could make you spin like crazy too. FWIW

agreed, the 03 springs were the worst to. you need to jump to a .375 or atleast a .359. both way better spring and longer lasting. .375 are better though. also yes vavling change. going back to the relocation mod. it does work better on XR's them regualr prox's becasue the front shocks are longer.
