Im currently running a completely stock 06 XF 700. Im running factory bides on it . Sled is not studded and it has stock skis

Thanks

Shapers but shade tree would be the last place I'd get anything from

6" shapers are the way to go, but any single bar carbide will be WAY better then the stock 4" staggerd carbides that you have on there now. You can usually get a set of the 6" shapers for 55-65 bucks.

6" Standard Stud Boys on my USI Skis , Crossfire and Firecat - 6" Standard Stud Boys going on my wifes stock skis also this year - Man ,driving her Crossfire 6 the end of last year on those two trips with her stock skis and those factory 4" POS Cat carbides , man did i miss my sled bigtime in the handling dept. Honestly will have to give her alot of credit for all the miles she has put on with factory skis and factory carbides over the years

It is truly truly amazing the difference skis and carbides can make , jumping from sled to sled

You can usually pick them up for about $30 a pair at the local Snowmobile USA Tour that blasts thru WI in OCT/NOV

I've run the Shapers with good success. They work as advertised. However I found they took quite a beating and did not last as long as I would have hoped. Went to Bergstrom 6" carbides with the big host bar and have been very happy with their performance. Tough as nails too. Last season those that ran the Bergstrom Triple Points were reporting positive expereinces.

Shapers or woody's...6 inches for sure.

I ran woody's 8" doolys with non studded track and stock skis and they worked pretty well.

I too run the Bergstrom carbides.
I've got 2000 miles on them and if you gave em a fresh coat of paint they would pass for new.
Very impressed with the theory, just think they need a little better build quality

I ran my first set of Shapers for 4600 miles, and they still weren't that bad. They really do work better than a round bar, and I would highly recommend them.

I agree with you there. I could not figure out why my sled wouldnt turn until I tipped over to look at the carbides. Those stupid dual stock ones were instantly thrown across the yard and some 6 inchers were put on. Night and day difference.

I will suggest the Bergstrom carbides as well.

I got a set of the triple points for my Crossfire this past season. They made a huge difference in handling compared to the stock ones and the only wear that I can see is on the wear pads.

My brother in-law order sets for his GSX and GTX SkiDoos as well and they are hardly showing any wear either.

Another nice benefit side benefit is that I can actually control my sled on pavement as well. When I ordered I spoke with Scott, the owner, directly and he gave me all sorts of information about his product and the competition as well.

You cannot go wrong with these bars...
