It is with heavy heart that we have to inform fellow snowmobilers that long time snowmobiler Mannie Lewis suddenly passed away on Monday July 7th. Mannie was a great sport and generous to snowmobileing whether at the track or aside the trail. Our thoughts go out to his wife Annette and his many close friends.
Mannie's Obituary is attached, for more information click the link below.

This is terrible news for eveyone who knew Mannie and to our snowmobile club. For those who do not know him by name he is the gentleman who owned, maintained and spent alot of his own money on the drag race track in the Berwick area. There's nobody out there that enjoyed those events as much as Mannie and his loss will be hard felt by all who knew him.
My condolences to Mannie's family and many friends.

Very sad news. It is tough to lose a good friend. It is especially tough to lose someone that volunteered as much to the local sport as Mannie did.
My condolences to the family and friends.

Very sad news indeed. I got to know Mannie over the last 3 years, and a true friend he was to me and everyone around him.
He loved the sport of snowmobile racing more than anyone I knew, and enjoyed seeing us having fun doing it at his track.
I will miss the Saturday's at the track, and our lengthy conversations on the phone in the winter talking about what he loved to do, and that was race.
We will all miss him greatly, RIP my friend.

I extend condolences to Manny’s friends and family.
Since I moved to Nova Scotia about seven years ago I have meet some excellent people in the sledding community here and Manny was at the top of that list. I met Manny at one of the many races he organized and immediately took a liking to him. How could you not? He treated everyone respectfully and always greeted you with a big smile. Making sure that everyone enjoyed themselves as much as possible was a top priority for Manny. He was an easy person to appreciate and I did. The next sled race event that any of us will attend may be one held in his memory…..but fear not I believe he will be present in sprit.
Godspeed Manny.

I attended the funeral for Mannie yesterday and it was a great tribute to such a fine person. There were so many people there they had to open a second building and feed the video of the funeral into it, standing room only was an understatement. It looked like an AVLRR snowmobile meeting was held there, as eveyone in the club that could make it was there to show thier respects and all of us in disbelief that this has happened to Mannie. There'll be a huge void left by Mannie that will be impossible to fill, but he has left us with a great example of what we need to do , and that would be become more like him.
On the lighter side, who is 800XCR going to spar with ?? and who going to show ZR2 how to drive a drag sled???

In keeping with Mannie's spirit and humor;
Mannie was outfitted with his Angels wings on Fri afternoon, he immediately went back to his cloud and in private, removed the wings, installed bigger feathers , increased the wings span and lightened up the tail.
He has since been going cloud to cloud asking all other Angels if thier wings were for show or go and gernerally has turned heaven into his own private drag strip.
A note to the wise; Start designing your modified wings now , cuase he'll be waiting for us.
