hey ... anyone think about how much gas is gonna cost for the sleds for a day of ridding this year ??? Looks like its gonna cost a 100 $ at todays prices !!!

I will just have to do more off trail. Somedays you ride all day for 50 miles.

I am extremely concerned with the price of fuel for next year.
Round trip to Jackman in my truck will be close to $150 and to fill my sled and my wifes will easily hit $100 per day. So 4 days of riding and commuting will cost us over $500 bucks per trip.

OUCH.... Last year we went every other weekend to save money. We will probably do the same but we will wait until it is safe to cross Moosehead to ride instead of hitting the trails in December.

I thought of that but it doesn't make sense to sell 2 sleds and take a big hit loss.
Then spend $15,000 so I can get great gas mileage. Both of my sleds are mint so there is no cost effective way for me to save money.
Bottom line is I will be riding less next year if the sport digs to deep into my pockets.

Honestly I'd rather spend my money and buy a Harley Davidson Ultra Classic and enjoy Maine and New Hampshire riding in style and comfort with my wife on the back getting over 50 MPG.

It ran me $100 a day (truck & sled fuel) last season. As it stand now should be almost double that this season.
The sport of snowmobiling is pretty much finished.

ya my riding is going to take a big hit , always end up running up north with my truck and trailer by myself due to someone cancelling. would be much cheaper to share costs with someone. Probably run my srx on grass and ice and leave the xcsp in the trailer and ride when I can find a travel partner. This really sucks !

you can come up to the lake and run (fallow us) with us. j/k dana.btw the kick stand came out perfect. keep in contact grass season is getting closer. i might set the sled up for asphalt for a little while. one sled will be staying at home all winter and the other will stay at camp and hitch a ride up with some one else who is heading to camp.
