The sleds in great shape..and the motor sounds good too. However, I pulled the plugs and they were almost completely carbon fouled.

Do guys frequently adjust the oil pumps on these? There doesn't seem to be an excess amount of smoke....but then again I haven't had a chance to run it up either..

I know extended idling will crap up plugs pretty quickly..

There's no way to adjust fuel/air, is there? I will do a compression test soon but I don't want too much carbon building up in the rings..

Any advice anyone?

Thanks,
Dan

Strong motor, but they do run rich. Clutch it right, get a torque arm to hold the motor in place and it will do you right.

Power Valves Shimmed?

How many miles on her? if its over 4k I'd consider replacing the pistons (with oem cat ones). Your compression can be fine but the pistons eventually start to fatigue and stress can crack them at the skirts.

you can buy adjustable fuel regulators for them but the only bad part is that adjusts fuel throughout the whole rpm range

What's a decent clutch kit for that sled? Can I get a torque arm at a cat dealer?

Is carbon build up a problem for these motors running so rich? Rings getting stuck?

I really appreciate it guys..

If anyone's got any other tips or secrets I sure would appreciate it..

THanks!!
