Well heres the thing i need a rebuild 02 600 xc sp guy i bought it from ruined the pistons and cylinders and i wanna rebuild it with a 660 big bore or should i just use us chrome or millennium technologies and re sleeve back to oem and jam oem back in it and i would feel safer putting everything back to stock but i would like to have the performance of the big bore kit there is a 02 800 xc sp edge x for sale with m 10 and reverse and electric start has some high mileage would buying the 800 be worth it besides the fact that they had crank and valve trouble i plan kinda in a slump at the moment just looking for some input on the 660 and such thanks

Go with the 660. If you are anything like me, you will always be wondering "what if" if you do not do it. The 660 will be about even with the 02 800 as far as speed and performance goes.

If you bought a sled that was blown, before you drop a 660 in there, better have it figuared out why it popped or the 660 could pop too!!!!! With that being said, i love my carls 660 in my IQR rock solid!!!!!

Well i pretty much know why it scarfed the pistons and the jugs up so thats all good just wonder how great the kit was or if anyone has ever raced or have beaten any bigger sleds

A well tuned 660 should run with most 7's until you run into the 770's and 785's!

Here are a few vids of me with my 660. SLP airbox, and reeds. Stock pipe with a can. Had trouble running the stock pipe. It would go like hell the first race and get slower as I raced. Some people said its because I need more cooling. I know that is not the case becaus it was good snow conditions and cold out. Also the 800's as far as I know most have the same amount of cooling as my 600 does. So I doubt its over heating. I think it was building to much pipe heat and losing power. Either way doesn't matter I ordered a set of new SLP twins. Should be here in a week. I hope they are loud!

The rev 600 I raced was videoed after a few runs so he was already close behind, the vid looks like he won, but tahts just the angle, I was ahead the whole race by a ski or so.

Racing the 02 xc sp 800 with fresh top end. geared down and 1.5 track. That rider is also about 40 lbs lighter than me. No problem. Second race was right after the first, the pipe was to hot. Third race I drove back slowly to the starting line with my hood slightly open to try keep the pipes cooler. Clutches are dead cold. Running 66gram weights, almond primary, and I forget the secondary setup, its a 66-44 helix but I don't remember the spring.

Also I'm turning a 141 1 3/4" track. I am going to put a 121 1 3/4" on it and hopefully gain a bit more speed.
