I'm looking at buying a set of used front shocks for my 2001 ZR 600 and found some used 2001 ZRT 600 shocks. The part numbers are different and I don't have access to my sled (summer storage) to measure the eye to eye distance. Anybody know if the shocks for the ZRT will fit the ZR (don't care if they are stiffer) for the same model year. Even if they fit will the ZRT shocks be stiffer (different valving or spring tension)?

They will fit. Same A-arms I am 99% sure. We had one and I know I put a '00 zr shock on it when one sprung a leak one weekend. if there is any difference in valving it will be very minimal. the zrt was only a few lbs heavier and cat used pretty much all the same front end parts for years.
