Last winter the engine blew in my 1994 ZR700, and me and my dad have been trying to find a replacement that will bolt in with little or no modification.
We have an opportunity to buy a three banger 600 from a 2001 Arctic Cat. We know there will be exhaust work, but what else would we need? or would this just flat out not work?
Thanks,
Matt

motor mounts and pipes fitting under the hood a zrt600 mounts differently than a 700

The --'01-- 600 was a one year only engine that had exhaust valves. great engine but you will need all of the electrical stuff to go with it (added cost). you would need all of the motor mounts as stated. A zr 600 engine from 98-00 (lots of those sleds out there still) would be a much easier swap, that or a 580 of the same era as your 700.

Thanks a ton, dann and stronger. I'll see what we want to do in the morning. I cant remember for sure, but I think the engine we have a chance to buy has all the electronics, clutch, starter, etc.

Thats a major bummer dude. The ZR700 engine owns tripples. Do you know why it blew?
