First time out for pilot build Z1 turbo cat ran 9.65 at 137 mph. Out of gear with the 68-52's. Will get more mph with 11t drivers. Better track conditions and suspension work should improve 60fts too. This sled is absolutely bone stock, except for muffler and electronic tweaks to increase boost. No lightweight parts.

That's great to hear. I personally want to wait til everyone gets them dialed in, then I will snag one.

Damn Glenn, thats awsome! What kind of boost #s are you running? How about some pics? What did you make on the dyno?
Did it come with 68/52 gears or did you put those in? If I'm up that way I might need to stop by and see that thing.

Been running 19lbs. stock is about 10. Keeping dyno numbers quiet, for now, until we finalize some things. I will say that even at stock calibration, the Cat estimates are VERY conservative! This one came with 66-54's (same as f1000) - not sure what final production will be. Not such a bad looking sled, once you lower it down.
turnerrd
Don't suppose you took it down the track at stock boost? Whens the next time and place you are running that bad boy?
skidoostomper
hallnracing is that your sled in your avitar the with turbo

No. Back on the dyno with it, now. Plan on running the bracket classes at esta and Martin. Not sure when we will get out testing, again.

That is Jason Stoviak's 1200 turbo that I drove at esta, Haydays, and Hastings, last year.

Good ones will dyno @ over 182 easy.87 oct. Unbroken in...and.. +5lbs .. of boost over stock(something even Stevie wonder can do!)..will make getting traction a full time chore.

Run one of these out the back door, and you will get religion. CAT will more tha lilkley keep the current gears. THAT cat test that was much printed and on the YouTubes was a joke. The way the pre-production TZturbo ran %^$##* ! MPH @ 10000 ft elev . was a shocker to the non press that was there. WAY too much upstairs for the lawyers.

Hall, i think u just sold another truck load of 12,000.00 4 strokes, this week!
dann
did it have the stock drivers on it at that speed?

How do we bump the boost?

enjoy the tar! - LOOKS KILLER!

meanwhile our snowchecked Dragon SP is down 15HP before it even gets here - thanks 'again' POLARIS L!

I'm sure Dan's scratching his head L! but we have to be unbiased in our promo/testing - Will be back on a CAT sooner than later!

Still too early to be divulging details about any upcoming products. Boost is electronicaly controlled. Although we are working hard to develop safe and reliable mods, remember that any modifications WILL void the warranty.

Don't think I ever owned a new sled that I didn't void the warranty on with in the first week.......LOL

Thank you. I completely understand and am looking forward to the new products.
E control sounds like it will offer a lot of tuning possibilities. I just noticed the two boxes, one for fuel, one for boost?
I also think it is rediclous how the magazine adds all have to have the "warranty void" disclaimer posted on every single power enhacing item nowadays.

Don't mean to be too secretive, but there is still a lot of testing to do. Will be bringing the sled down to dynotech Sunday, July 13 to show off the stock horsepower numbers.

Did Jim's dyno #'s please you??....was my 180-182hp close?

Not posted yet.as of this date and time.

GUYS you might want to check but i think their is a fedaral law that they cant void warranty because of parts installed unless they can prove the parts installed caused the failure.

I was using the stock JAG base HP as a teaser.(135-40). Protos have been running tru the woods in Min and Wisc., last year, and for all the work and best parts they thru at this 2 cyl, could not see the Engineers settling on a conservetive setup, because it lived at 15 bls, w/ o issues. So 40 + extra hp for 2 g's seem ok.(?)!
I talked to a person(???),who witnessed that sled literally roll by 180hp+ modded SkiDooMachZ and i knew it was alot better than cats advs. 177. I would be a fibber if i said the Pre-prod. model was running on 87,it had 93oct.

Be nice if the real production units have the same settings and tune up.

A REAL AC hot rod , at last...now about the protos that have the 2nd gen. ACT tourque sensing chain setup,..well 2010 is only 18 months away.
hallnracing
Even faster, now. A little better traction and a dynotech session produced a 9.324 at 138.29mph at nyirp last night. Also ran a 9.425 at 141.15mph.

I wonder if anyone besides us guys waiting for a turbo is watching this thread? I hope not. Jay

I'm thinking there's a lot people watching, I wonder how many ordered the Crossfire R 1000 and thought it would be faster than the Turbo.

Glenn- Hows is the testing going on the Z1? Any hints on the different stages? I read Dynotech info and very promising. I know its early, but any idea when they will be ready to buy?
xc8j
Any chance we might spot one of these at hay days? Jay

We are hoping to have product ready to sell as soon as production sleds are delivered, assuming no changes from prototype.

Doesn't look like it. Production isn't scheduled til after haydays, and ISR will not let them race in stock class anyway.

Didn't they let the 03 Fcat run "for fun"in their debut season before production was done? Might be fun to stir the pot a little! Jay

Yes they did. It was an exhibition run. I'd go to Haydays this year just to see this turbo run
