hey guys i have a couple questions, my edge needs a new track and since its going to be sitting all summer i thought about extending the rails and tunnel, does anyone know of a company that sells both and maybe even a track for a decent price? and has anyone done this? im wondering how much of a difference it will make with the hole shot and top end? any help would be great.

trackusa.com has great deals. cheap shipping too. very good extensions. 121 to 136 with 1.25 ripsaw is $579 or 121 to 136 with cobra track $650. both include rail and tunnel extensions. Great deals! Better hole shot from both as they are more agressive tracks and longer hooks up better too. double bonus. and, not enough loss of top end to worry about.

Tracksusa extensions are the best plan, and recommend you at least talk to them about the entire package they can offer.
Regarding the drop brackets, I don't think they are a very good idea at all. If you're after the look, fine. If you're after trail performance, don't. Just got into this again with somebody last week or so. Here's the link. Check it out for some background info on your question:

I had problems with over heating on my wifes 2001 600 after I went to a 136"x1 1/4" track. I ended up putting a suplemental cooler in. I tried lowering the suspension first and that just made it worse. The 600 is marginal in the cooling department anyway and with the extension on and my wife riding it (not very aggressive) it would over heat in no time.
